If you have viewed the Philadelphia Eagles this season, you may have heard a new name a few times: Cooper Dejean.
Like a Rookie Cornerback and Punt -Berkkeder for the Eagles, Dejean made a reputation for himself in 2024. In 16 games – Nine of them as a starting player – he achieved 51 tackles, six Pass, a forced junk and three junk recovery. Now he is on the edge of something that most players only dream of: winning a championship ring.
Dejean worked with Myfitnesspal And shared his reflections on his first season in Philly, and how he physically and mentally prepares to strengthen his place in the history of Eagles forever.
MFP: What is it like to be part of the Philadelphia Eagles, especially during a season in which you put a push at the championship?
CD: It is an incredible experience. The energy in Philly is electric, and when we are on a championship run, the whole city feels like it’s behind us. The dressing room buzzes and the team chemistry is at a record high. Everyone is locked up and is aimed at the same goal, and it is an honor to be part of something special.
MFP: How does the culture motivate you as a player in Philadelphia and under the fan base of the Eagles?
CD: Philly fans are the next level – they are passionate, loyal and they hold us responsible. You can feel their energy on game day, and it drives you to give everything you have. You don’t just play for the team; You play for the city.
MFP: What role does food play in your performance, especially during a long season with tough competitions?
CD: Nutrition is everything – it’s the basis for how I perform. Without the correct fuel, I can’t bring my best to the field. It’s not just about energy; It is about recovery, focus and staying healthy by a debilitating schedule.

I quickly need burning carbohydrates for explosive energy and a solid balance of proteins to help with muscle recovery, especially after playing with high intensity. Staying light, but strong is the key to me, so I concentrate on lean proteins, fresh vegetables and healthy fats to keep my energy up without feeling weighing. MFP: Are there specific food or meals where you swear to stay in peak condition for your role?
CD: I am a big fan of lighter, energy-green meals for competitions-such as oatmeal with almond butter, bananas and honey for a good carbohydrate boost. After games or exercise, I concentrate on recovery meals such as grilled chicken, sweet potatoes and spinach. Staying hydrated is also huge for me, so I constantly drink water and add electrolytes when needed.
MFP: If the bet is so high, how do you balance the physical routine with maintaining peak mental focus?
CD: It’s all about routine. Nutrition, sleep and the mental game are huge. I make sure I get the right fuel, keep my recovery on and take the time to re -adjust. The mental game is just as important as the physical or nutritional value, especially at this level.
MFP: Looking ahead to the big game, what do you think the biggest challenge for you as a player and for the team as a whole will be?
CD: The biggest challenge is to maintain that razor -sharp focus and physical explosiveness throughout the game. As a cornerback I have to be ready to close my assignment to every game, and as a point-backor I constantly think about positioning and taking a fraction of a second. But I can’t let the moment get too big. It is easy to get caught in the hype, but at the end of the day it is just a different game. We have prepared ourselves for this all season, so it is that we stick to what we know, trust our preparation and leave it all on the field.
